DasEi: I don't know what that means...
what is the command for changing working directory??
did anyone else have a problem with Firefox crashing? I just upgraded my system and it is doing it again.
DasEi: but basically, what I just said is that you can't install fonts into an encrypted home folder... at least not without special privileges.
krishnandu: cd
eurythmia: truing a reboot
DasEi, thanks....!! :D
krishnandu: to return to old dir / cd..
thanks
DasEi: or, if you're worried about those files or configuration files, you can use a liveCD, move the old ~/.mozilla dir to another directory, and rename ~/.mozilla to ~/.mozilla.old
krishnandu: and also 'pwd'
eurythmia: yes, but that is an invasive method, might force you to back up all that stuff first
DasEi: then, if you want to do that, you'll have to grab the live CD, install the fonts from there, and then remove them from the system.
eurythmia:? (there are two ways)
DasEi: well, you could use the liveCD to install the fonts on the system... or you could boot from the liveCD and move ~/.mozilla to a separate location and rename ~/.mozilla.old to ~/.mozilla... then, you can reinstall the fonts, then remove the ~/.mozilla directory.
DasEi: why would that be invasive? it's a very simple solution.
eurythmia: a separate partition?
DasEi: an additional step, yes.
eurythmia: simple solution :
DasEi: I'm not saying it
