8 Location: Termina Field - Southwest Termina Field near Milk RoadRequires: N/AGo near the entrance to Milk Road and find a patch of tall grass to the right of it. Look for some butterflies hovering over the grass to drop into a hidden hole. Defeat the Pea Hat inside to obtain this Heart Piece.
21 Location: Ikana Canyon - Ikana Graveyard during the second night.Requires: Captain's Hat, Lens of TruthOn the second night, go to Ikana Graveyard and use the Captain's Hat to make the enemies open the grave. After going down you'll encounter lots of invisible enemies, use the lens of truth to be able to see them and the path. When you reach a cracked wall, use a bomb to break it and enter the area. Go through the door and encounter Iron Knuckle, he's a tough enemy so be careful. After defeating him a Golden Chest will appear, open it to get this Piece of Heart.
33 Location: Great Bay - Great Bay Skulltulla HouseRequires: Hookshot, Hero's Bow, Deku Sticks/Fire Arrows, Captain's HatEnter the Skultulla House in the Great bay by blowing up the cracked wall with a bomb. Use the hookshot target above the door to enter, and burn the cobwebs with a lighted Deku Stick or Fire Arrows. Inside, shoot the colored skulls in the order told to you by the skeleton enemies after you talk to them with the Captain's Mask. It is a random order so you better write it down on a paper or memorize it.
But none of them have cracked that top five, which, admittedly, is fairly arbitrary anyway. A lot of games from 2019 and onwards are probably in my top ten, in fact! And rest assured that the thesis of this talking point is more definitely not "games have been a bit pants since around about 2014", but evidently, none of them have grabbed a hold of my heartstrings in the way that my top five did. Especially the latest Paper Marios. The less said about them the better. Double sob.
So, I turn to you, dear Nintendo Life audience: when was the last time a game made it into your all-time favourites? When was the last time a game cracked your Top Five? In the last year In the last 5 years In the last 10 years In the last 15 years In the last 20 years Even longer? Seriously? Hmmm, truthfully, I never really think about favourites whether it be games, food, cracks in the ceiling. The only thing gamewise is that Ocarina of Time would definitely appear somewhere in that top 5 list. But beyond that, I am damned if I knew how to choose my list.
I didn't think that Ocarina of Time could ever be topped by anything in my book, but then I started digging deep into the PlayStation library. I played The Last of Us, The Last of Us: Part 2, and Ghost of Tsushima last year. I still love Ocarina of Time so much... but those games didn't just crack my top 5, they shattered it.
Newest game to crack my top 5 would probably be cuphead. 2017 was indeed insane for quality content! Even tho we got cuphead later (played it for the first time on switch). General top 5 is giving me anxiety trying to curate. So difficult
Never thought a game could crack my top 5 until Breath of the Wild came along. Also, Street Fighter II is technically my 2nd favorite game but does the Street Fighter anniversary collection 'crack' that?
Since then, I have fallen in love with the original Super Mario Bros (All-Stars Version) and DKC games (1 and 2, not played 3 yet) on NSO. Also loved Ori and the Blind Forest and Yooka-Laylee and the Impossible Lair. Unsure if any of those 5 games crack my top-5 but they are up there.
Last year I've had 2 games crack my top 5. A Short Hike and NBA Hangtime (the latter which I rediscovered after getting the Arcade 1up). My Top 5 are Sonic 2, Night in the Woods, A Short Hike, NBA Hangtime and #5 fluctuates between certain golf games like Mario Golf: World Tour, Golden Tee (Arcade 1up) and Everybody's Golf. The latter 2 golf games which I also discovered last year, so it's almost like 3 games have cracked my Top 5 recently.
The most recent one to crack my top 5 would be Fire Emblem: Three Houses. I think it's brilliant. Here's my top five, in no particular order:Fire Emblem: Three HousesPersona 4: GoldenPokemon SapphireLegend of Zelda: Ocarina of TimeResident Evil 4
So sometimes relatively recent games like Breath of the Wild or Dragon Quest XI S are in there sometimes, though Animal Crossing: New Leaf was probably the most recent game before them that felt like it had truly cracked my personal top 5.
Hades cracked mine last year (or this year rather, cause that's when I played it). Otherwise BOTW came out 4 years ago and that is still my number one. If I had to make a list it would probably be:1) BOTW2) Fire Emblem Awakening3) Doney Kong Tropical Freeze4) Hades5) Super Mario World 2 - Yoshi's IslandFE 3 Houses and the original Ace Attorney trilogy are high up as well.Since I've played about 3x more Switch games than on any other console, my top ten is pretty Switch centric. On the other hand, some of my favourite games of all time, I played in my childhood (Yoshi's Island was my first ever game).
Before that, Bioshock Infinite cracked my top 5 when I played all the way through it for the first time a few years ago (the Xbox One version in my case). Gorgeous visuals, fun gameplay, and an amazing story.
Tough question. Had to think about it for a few days. What games are in my top five, so another game can be better to crack it. There are so many games that influenced me and could be there. Sonic 1-3, Mario 64, Banjo-Kazooie, Mario Kart, PES, Assassins Creed 2, Final Fantasy X and XII, Jak & Daxter, Soul Calibur, Xenoblade Chronicles 2, Skyrim, Fallout 3, GTA 3, Hollow Knight or even Warcraft 2, Monkey Island 2, Might & Magic 6-8. But I will go with BotW like so many others. And it's not the only Zelda game here, Twilight Princess is the other one. After careful consideration and in in no particular order here are my personal top five most influential games:1. Sonic 1/ Monkey Island 2 (my first games ever)2. Mario 64 (first own game on first own console)3. Twilight Princess (comes as close as a game can to save my soul)4. Assassins Creed 2/ Fallout 3/ Skyrim (played them when I first lived all alone)5. BotW (start into my gaming life as a parent)
While the precaution to not eat wild plants that grow near roads is maintained, presented today are shots of weeds growing in our neighborhoods. They sprout through cracks in asphalt and cement to be available to us.
This first shot is of Purslane (Portulaca oleracea). This low spreading plant is found growing in vacant lots and, in this shot, growing from the crack of a curb. Purslane is also known as Pursely. The thick, juicy green leaves are attached to thick reddish-colored stems. In some places it is cultivated as produce. This is due to its high nutritional value. It is a good source of Vitamin C and A, Riboflavin, Magnesium, Iron, Potassium, Copper, Calcium, Maganese, and even a small amount of protein. Purslane has more omega-3 than Primrose or Flaxseed. The stems, leaves, and flower buds are edible. Purslane can be thrown into salads, lightly steamed and seasoned to serve as a side dish or it can be juiced. One drawback is that it contains oxalic acid. Oxalic acid is hard on the kidneys and urinary tract, though moderate intake of it dissolves kidney stones.
